June is the owner of the Opening Hearts Healing Sanctuary along with her husband Dave, who also runs Executive Shuttle Services.
I was drawn to complimentary therapies when my Mother was diagnosed with cancer. I wanted to find a way to help.
I have been working with energy healing since 1998, first training in Reiki and Seichem to the level of teacher, and then followed several workshops with International trainer Patrick Zeigler with SKHM energy.
Having a massage one day, led me to a realisation of the benefits of this touch therapy and in 2001 I concluded a training at the local North Devon Hospice in Anatomy and Physiology and Body massage. Various follow up workshops have been attended to continue developing techniques, including Hot Stone Massage in 2009.
After reading Hands of Light by Barbara Ann Brennan, I began to look for a training based on these teachings and was very lucky to be told of the Sol Ray School of Healing Energies in Sussex, which was just about to begin a three year course in Advanced Energy Healing. Averil Pitman, who ran the school had completed a course in America with B.A.Brennan and so this was just the thing and the next step on the journey of personal healing and proffesional training. I completed the course in 2005.
During the advanced energy course, the students were introduced to Amadis Cammell who worked with Core Energetics. For the last two years this became part of the training and afterwards I was drawn to travel to London to continue working with Amadis. I attended workshops for two years, then when Amadis began a training in Core Realisation, I signed up. I have now completed a two year foundation course and continue work with the group on a two year post graduate course. We are now beginning a 5year training as apprentice facilitators. (2012)
Aside from these more professional trainings I have also attended many other workshops of personal interest including shamanic work, and more recently Metamorphic Technique.

Simple Facial
This facial is as it says, very simple. No frills. Hot flannels to begin, hot stones in your hands to relax you and warm wheat bags at feet and neck.I use very gentle products and a basic cleansing, toning and stimulating facial with no mask, followed by a nourishing almond oil massage of the face, neck and shoulders.
It is relaxing and calming, bringing balance and healing to over active minds.
Massage has been used since ancient times, and offers the experience of touch, movement and energy to client and therapist and promotes health and well being to the physical body, the emotions and mind. Massage can loosen and soothe tight muscles, ease aches and pains, help release trapped trauma and create a sense of peace within the body. For those who are stressed, it is an invaluable aid to returning to, balance harmony and health if used regularly.
Holistic Healing Body Massage - This is a deep massage to free the trapped energy and tensions held in stressed muscles. Healing energy is channelled throughout the massage to help deeply relax the client. To further aid relaxation the hands are stilled to allow more energy to fill or soften the muscle. This type of massage is much more holding and intuitive.Each session is dependant upon the individual needs of the client.
Hot Stone Massage - A most beneficial therapy. Smooth basalt stones, ( black volcanic rock) are heated to a temperature between 120/150f /50c.
The heat of the stones is deeply relaxing, and is used to warm up the muscles at the start of the session, then later as tools to give a deeper massage to areas of the body that would benefit from it.
Warm stones are placed in hands and at the feet which help the client's body to sink quickly into deeper relaxation.
Warm sesame oil, which is full of healing properties, is used throughout the massage to enhance the experience.
At the end of the massage special large hot stones are placed on the chakra centres to help relax the client further and boost healing. A towel is used between the stones and the body at this point.
Stones are cleansed after every session to ensure hygeine standards are met.

Aroma Massages - using ready blended essential oils.
Refreshing - a blend of geranium, teget and lemon to help refresh and uplift your mind, body and emotions. This stimulating massage helps lift your energy, restore balance, and revitalise the circulation.
Sensual - frankincense, neroli and rose blend together for this most gentle soothing, restful massage. Excellent for restoring self confidence and enjoyment of the body sensations.
Luxury Back Massage Treat
Hot stones ( wrapped in soft flannels) are placed on the backs of your feet and in your hands to promote a deep relaxation throughout the body.
You receive twenty to thirty minutes of massage to the back neck and shoulders, followed by a gentle massage with a sea spa exfoliating cream. Warm flannels remove the exfoliator and then a rich shea butter moisturising cream is massaged into the skin feeding it and leaving it feeling soft and supple.

Most sessions involve hands on healing such as :-
Reiki - Reiki is energy channelled from the Universe. It is all around us, but just like the air we breathe it is unseen. We are always taking in this loving energy, but during a healing session, more becomes available for us. The client receives this extra energy then uses it to begin a healing process. Reiki is usually felt as a soft, cocooning, loving energy which permeats the body. Many sensations can be felt, such as warmth, cold, pulsations, waves and cool breezes, though sometimes very little is felt. The energy is there whatever is felt and is available for us to work with.
I also work in the energy field, and in this case my hands are not touching the body but working in the aura.
Reiki Drum Journey
Receive a short gentle hands on Reiki treatment leading you into a sacred, personal drum journey to meet with Reiki Masters or guides. The drum can lead you into altered states of awareness and openess to receive guidance, help and support.
Energy Healing - begins with a chelation of energy through the body to increase energy throughout the physical and energy body. There are many techniques available to help assist the energy and physical body to heal itself.

Crystal bowl Sound Healing - this healing session is very relaxing and beautiful. The client lies in a crystal grid whilst lying on a low couch. After the grid is activated a background recording of crystal bowls being played inside Stone Henge begins as I begin to play the crystal heart chakra bowl. You will also become aware of voice toning at some point, which may be over or around your body.
Hands on healing may be used to fill each major energy centre to bring balance and harmony to the being on many levels.
The healing sounds will transport you to other levels of consciousness and healing whilst opening energy channels and aligning your being.
You are held in a safe, sacred space to receive all that you need to sustain you on your journey.

Metamorphic Technique - is a completely safe and gentle, non invasive approach to personal growth, transformation and healing. It can help to bring our full potential into being.
It helps us release and transform patterns of behaviour that no longer serve us, or that may be limiting us in various ways. These patterns may have been established during the pre-natal period, at birth or during our growth to adulthood.
The practitioner acts as a catalyst for the client's energy to do what it needs to do. They do not diagnose or offer advise, they simply hold a safe, sacred space for the client's own healing powers to begin to work.
It involves a light touch along the spinal reflexes of the feet, hands and head whilst the client is either sitting or lying on a couch.
Clients may wish to talk or be completely silent, it makes no difference to what is happening.
It is totally safe and can be received by anyone at whatever age.
There are no contra indications and no need for case histories.
It is easy to learn and incorporate into one's life.
Sessions can be on a regular basis or just when you feel in need of change or if you feel restless.
It will safely compliment any other therapy or medicine you are taking.

Hopi Ear Candling (Thermal Auricular Therapy)and Facial massage - Ear candling is an ancient tradition that was and is still used by many indiginous peoples as part of a cleansing before spiritual ceremonies. It is often called Hopi ear candling.
It was also used by other european and mediterranian cultures to help keep the ears clear and healthy.
The candles re-stimulate the energy around the ears and head and can be very helpful for a variety of symptoms such as, headaches, sinusitis, tinitus, hay fever, asthma and to help soften build up of ear wax.
The candles also stimulate the lymph system helping to detox the ares. Used regularly the candles can effect more and more of our energy field and support us on many levels.
The heat generated by the flame at the top of the candle, warms the air in the hollow tube and it spirals down into the air. The air is highly charged with energy which causes vibrations which massage the inner ear.
